When Teamline’s Jira app is installed, Jira integration is enabled by default.

In the Classic Standup Report, Teamline uses AI to analyze user responses and automatically match text answers to relevant Jira issues. After the report is completed, Teamline generates a summary with links to the Jira tasks that were most likely mentioned.

This summary can be reviewed and edited.

How Jira task matching works

  • Users answer classic standup questions in a business messenger

  • Teamline AI analyzes the text responses

  • Relevant Jira issues are automatically matched

  • A summary with Jira issue links is generated at the end of the report

The matching is automatic - but always editable.

How to edit matched Jira tasks

Editing happens after the report is completed, directly from the messenger.

Step 1: Complete the Classic Standup Report in Slack or Microsoft Teams.

Step 2: After the report finishes, click Edit response in the summary message.

Left: Edit response button in Slack · Right: Edit response button in Microsoft Teams

Step 3: You will be redirected to the web editing interface.

What you can edit in the web interface

In the editor, you can:

  • Edit the text of your standup response

  • Review Jira issues matched by AI

  • Add additional Jira tasks

  • Remove incorrectly matched tasks

This gives you full control over what is saved and shared.

Why this is useful

  • Ensures accurate Jira references

  • Prevents incorrect task attribution

  • Improves data quality in reports and Insights

  • Keeps Jira updates clean and intentional

Summary

  • Jira integration is enabled automatically when the Jira app is installed
