In Microsoft Teams, threads are supported only inside Channels.
Threads are not available in group chats or direct messages - this is a Teams platform limitation.

Teamline supports threaded delivery of report results only when results are sent to a Teams Channel.

Why use threaded results delivery

With Send results to reply, Teamline:

  • Posts report results as replies to a single parent message

  • Keeps all answers grouped in one thread

  • Makes it easier to review, discuss, and follow report outcomes

This is especially useful for standups, surveys, and recurring reports.

How to post report results in one thread

Step 1: Create a report in Teamline.

Step 2: Customize Scheduling and Respondents & Questions
Set up timing, respondents, and questions according to your workflow.

Step 3: Open the Results Delivery section.

Step 4: Select a Microsoft Teams Channel for results delivery

Step 5: Enable Send results to reply
This option ensures all responses are posted as replies to a single message.

Step 6: Save and run the report

Once active, Teamline will post report results into a single threaded conversation inside the selected channel.

How it works in practice

  • Teamline posts a parent message in the channel

  • Each participant’s response appears as a reply

  • The entire report discussion stays inside one thread

This keeps Channels clean and makes reports easier to review.
