In Microsoft Teams, threads are supported only inside Channels.
Threads are not available in group chats or direct messages - this is a Teams platform limitation.
Teamline supports threaded delivery of report results only when results are sent to a Teams Channel.
Why use threaded results delivery
With Send results to reply, Teamline:
Posts report results as replies to a single parent message
Keeps all answers grouped in one thread
Makes it easier to review, discuss, and follow report outcomes
This is especially useful for standups, surveys, and recurring reports.
How to post report results in one thread
Step 1: Create a report in Teamline.
Step 2: Customize Scheduling and Respondents & Questions
Set up timing, respondents, and questions according to your workflow.
Step 3: Open the Results Delivery section.
Step 4: Select a Microsoft Teams Channel for results delivery
Step 5: Enable Send results to reply
This option ensures all responses are posted as replies to a single message.
Step 6: Save and run the report
Once active, Teamline will post report results into a single threaded conversation inside the selected channel.
How it works in practice
Teamline posts a parent message in the channel
Each participant’s response appears as a reply
The entire report discussion stays inside one thread
This keeps Channels clean and makes reports easier to review.
