The Test report feature lets you preview how a report works in a business messenger before activating it for your team.

When the Test report button appears

The Test report button becomes available only after at least one respondent is added to the report.

If no respondents are selected:

  • The button is hidden

  • The report cannot be tested

This ensures Teamline knows where to send the test message.

Step-by-step: How to run a test report

Step 1: Open the report you want to test.

Step 2: Go to the Respondents section.

Step 3: Add at least one respondent
(Best practice: add only yourself for testing.)

Step 4: Click Test report.

The report will be sent immediately to all selected respondents.

What happens after you click Test report

  • The report arrives in your business messenger

  • You can answer questions and interact with the bot

  • Delivery and question flow match a real report

However:

  • Test results are not saved

  • Test results do not appear in History or Insights

  • The report remains in Draft if it wasn’t activated

Important notes

  • Test reports do not affect the report schedule

  • Test reports do not activate the report

  • Test runs exist only in the messenger

Best practice

When testing a new report:

  1. Add only yourself as a respondent

  2. Run Test report

  3. Verify delivery and answers in the messenger

  4. Finalize settings

  5. Add the rest of the team
