By default, Teamline does not have access to private Slack channels.
This is a Slack permission rule, not a Teamline limitation.
To send report results to a private channel, you must first explicitly invite the Teamline bot to that channel.
Why this is required
Slack private channels are protected by default.
Apps and bots cannot post messages there unless they are manually added.
Once Teamline is invited, it can:
Post report results to that private channel
Deliver summaries and updates just like in public channels
Step 1: Invite Teamline to the private channel (in Slack)
Step 1: Open the private channel in Slack.
Step 2: In the message input field, type:
/invite @Teamline
After this, Teamline will have permission to post messages in that channel.
Step 2: Select the private channel as a result destination
Once Teamline is added to the channel:
Go back to Teamline
Open your report settings
Navigate to Result delivery
Сlick on the "refresh" button
Select the private channel from the list
The channel will now be available as a delivery option.
How to remove Teamline from a private channel
If you no longer want Teamline to post to a private channel:
Step 1: Open the channel in Slack
Step 2: Type:
/remove @Teamline
Teamline will immediately lose access to that channel.
