Vacation Mode allows individual team members to be automatically skipped in reports when they’re away - without changing report settings for the whole team.
At the moment, Vacation Mode is available only for Slack users.
How Vacation Mode works
Vacation Mode is based on Slack statuses.
If a user sets a specific status in Slack (for example, Vacation or OOO), Teamline detects it and skips that user whenever a report runs.
This works only for statuses that were predefined by an admin in Teamline settings.
Step 1: Configure Vacation statuses (admin setup)
Step 1: Open Account Settings in Teamline and go to the Reports section.
Step 2: Define one or more words or phrases that should trigger Vacation Mode
(for example: Vacation, OOO, Out of office).
Don’t forget to press Enter after typing each word or phrase.
These values define which Slack statuses Teamline should treat as “away.”
Step 2: User sets their Slack status
Once the admin configuration is done:
The user sets one of the predefined statuses in Slack
Teamline automatically skips the user in active reports
No questions or reminders are sent while the status is active
As soon as the Slack status changes back, the user is included in reports again.
What Vacation Mode affects
✅ Skips the user in reports
✅ Prevents reminders and follow-ups
❌ Does not pause reports for the entire team
Vacation Mode is designed for individual availability, while public holidays handle team-wide days off.
