Teamline can be installed in two ways: through our standalone web app or directly from the Atlassian Marketplace. Both methods create the same user account - as long as you use the same email address.
Teamline installation gives you access to your workspace and account settings.
However, full setup (viewing JIRA work items, running reports, enabling Slack/Teams delivery) is completed in the next steps described in other guides.
Option 1: Install via the standalone web app
You can create your Teamline account directly at:
Available login methods:
Slack
Microsoft Teams
Google
Once you sign in, your Teamline account is created using the email from your chosen login provider.
Option 2: Install via the JIRA app (Atlassian Marketplace)
You can also install Teamline directly from JIRA:
After installation, JIRA automatically creates a linked Teamline account for you using your JIRA email.
You can open the Teamline app inside JIRA immediately - no additional sign-in required.
How account syncing works
Teamline identifies users by email.
This means:
You can use both the standalone web app and the JIRA app
Your settings, reports, and automation live in the same workspace
Everything stays unified as long as the emails match
If your standalone login email = your JIRA email, then Teamline treats this as one account.
What installation includes (and what it doesnโt)
Installing Teamline (via standalone or JIRA) creates your user account and gives you access to:
The Teamline admin panel
Report builder
Automation settings
Billing page
Workspace configuration
However, installation does not finish the full setup.
To complete Teamline configuration, you will still need to:
Connect JIRA Boards (done when you create your first Timeline)
Install Slack or Microsoft Teams app (required to send automated reports)
Configure your first report
These steps are described in separate guides.
